About the Photographer
I’ve been into photography most of my life more as a hobbyist. Having resided in Alaska for more than 15 years I owned and operated a successful portrait studio for 4 of those years. We actually traveled quit extensively throughout Alaska providing portraiture services to outlying towns, villages and Eskimo communities.
From Dutch Harbor in the Aluetian Islands to Fairbanks, Ketchikan in the south to Barrow in the north we hit all points in between. In our 4 years as Northern Exposure Photography we shot over 250,000 sittings before we gave way to a much bigger corporate giant.
So we packed up and moved to warmer climates here in my native state of California. During the last few years I’ve transitioned from medium format and 35mm film cameras to state of the art digital cameras, equipment and software. I particularly enjoy virtual reality photography.
