The Himbächel Viaduct: It's a single-track bridge on the Odenwald railroad. From hill to hill, It spans a distance of 250 meters, and a height of 40 meters. It has ten spans made of sandstone collected from local quarries, and concrete foundations for each. It was built in 1880-81 by the company Karl Weißhuhn from Toppau in Silesia. The panorama was taken five minutes before the sun vanished behind the hills. I made a special page with some more panoramas of the viaduct and other bridges I took for this event, but the weather was not so nice any more the rest of the week.
For more panoramas of Germany, including some other bridges, check my personal website, Kugelblick.de (it even has a panorama made with a christmas-ball!).
