This recently renovated fountain is a monument to the 'krewes' of Mardi Gras in New Orleans. About 100 or so concrete blocks, featuring each krewe's logo on tile surround the fountain. Alternating purple, green and gold lights color the fountain at night. The fountain sits on the New Orleans lakefront near my home and is a popular place for a stroll.

This is my small and over compressed version (about 600 kb) of this QuickTime VR object movie. A higher resolution version, with three times as many pictures, where you can zoom in and read the names of the Krewes, is posted on my site at:
