The lagoons around Snake Island are home to canoeists, kayakers, dragon boaters, rowers, and other assorted paddlers. Late in the afternoon calm water slides lazily past, reflecting the greenery of summer.
This is a panoramic painting, painted onsite and then later photographed and converted to a QTVR. (This is not a simple cylindrical projection that was later given a painterly effect, a la Photoshop). All cylindrical remapping was done manually, on the fly. Although Kekus' Lensfix was used to remove the barrel distortion in the photography of the piece, and Photoshop was used to stitch the canvas seams together, no other hardware or software was used.
Painted onto four panels, the final piece is 10'8" long and approximately 12" high.
