OldHegg is on Park Beach on the NE coast of Bequia, one of the islands making up St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Although only seven miles long and just half a mile wide Bequia is one of the most beautiful and attractive of the Caribbean islands. Visitors to the island should take time to visit Orton 'Brother' King's turtle sanctuary. This remarkable man has released 804 three-year-old Hawksbill turtles into the wild where only one in a thousand survives naturally. A one-time turtle fisherman he is now a major influence in conservation of the species and education of local people throughout the Caribbean. His work is self funded and any donations would be much appreciated. He can be contacted at Oldhegg@vincysurf.com
