ENGLISH TEXT The Beginnings ThemeThis time for my contribution to the world wide event of interactive panoramic photography "World Wide Panorama" I decided to publish a virtual panorama I took on our last camping trip to the beautiful state of Chiapas, México. A place where many and new beginnings are happening. Not only at the political aspect, on the attitude of the people or on their new infrastructure as a progressing entity. There I also found great and new beginnings for the natural and protected reserve areas with all the vegetation and wild animals they have. In general a terrific place to begin exploring, researching, traveling and adventure.At that place where I took the panorama, just by crossing the river, the Lacandona Jungle begins. Another great beginning is going on there, this one for the wild animal life and care. The place we camped was created with the purpose of conservation and preserving some animal species like the scarlet macaw, the toucan, the howling monkey and the white tail deer. Animals which the local community care, preserve and help with reproduction. At this same place where I made the pictures the tourists can take and begin a spectacular trip by boat of 3 hours, going inside the jungle in order to admire the dense vegetation, the transparency of the water, watch and hear diverse wild animals right in their natural habitat. The PlaceThe panorama was taken at the front of the installations of "The Ecoturistic Center Las Guacamayas", which is located at the Reforma Agraria community at the oriental shore of the Lacantún river, which is up to 150 meters in width.At the other side of river is found the Lacandona jungle, just on the limits of the Reserve of the Biosphere of the Blue Mountains. From that spot you can hear daily and all day the howling of the saraguato monkeys, take a trip by the river going in the jungle. Navigating the Lacantún and Tzendales rivers you will watch crocodiles, toucans, the martí fishing bird, scarlet macaws, spider monkeys, howling monkeys, badgers, armadillos, multicolor birds, and with luck some tapirs and jaguars. The Ecoturistic Center Las Guacamayas ( in Spanish "Guacamayas" means macaws ) was created with the main purpose to develop a whole project for the conservation of the scarlet macaw (ara macao) but other species above mentioned also found a wonderful refuge there. The PanoramaOn this virtual interactive panorama I show the shore of the Lacantún river, with not a lot of water because the rain season was not begin yet. At the other side of the river impressive sounds and the so dense vegetation made the illusion of a great natural wall inspiring respect, amazement and big admiration for the beginning of the Lacandona Jungle, for all the things that it keeps and hides inside.Hope you like the view ! TEXTO EN ESPAÑOL El Tema: Comienzos o IniciosEn esta mi contribución para el evento mundial de fotografía panorámica "World Wide Panorama" decidí publicar este panorama virtual que tomé en nuestro pasado viaje de campamento por el hermoso estado de Chiapas, un lugar en donde numerosos y nuevos comienzos se están dando. No solo en lo político, en la actitud de la gente o en su infraestructura. También hay grandes y nuevos comienzos para áreas naturales protegidas y para la gran diversidad de fauna salvaje de la zona, sin dejar de mencionar increíbles inicios para la exploración, investigación, viaje y aventura.En este lugar con tan solo cruzar al otro lado del río estamos al comienzo de la Reserva de la Biosfera de los Montes Azules, la selva Lacandona. Y otro gran comienzo se da también para la vida animal, ya que en este lugar, donde acampamos, fue creado con la finalidad de la conservación de algunas especies como la guacamaya escarlata, el tucán, el mono saraguato y el venado cola blanca. Animales que en la comunidad local son cuidados y conservados para su reproducción. En este mismo punto desde el cual tomé las fotografías uno puede comenzar un recorrido espectacular de 3 horas en lancha por el río, adentrándose en la selva, para admirar la impactante densidad de la vegetación, la transparencia del agua, ver y oír diversos animales salvajes en su estado natural. El LugarEl lugar en donde he tomado este panorama se encuentra frente a las instalaciones del "Centro Ecoturístico Las Guacamayas", que se ubica en la comunidad de Reforma Agraria, en la ribera oriente del río Lacantún, coloso de unos 150m. de ancho.Al otro lado del río se encuentra la selva Lacandona, en el límite de la Reserva de la Biosfera de los Montes Azules. De allí surgen todos los días los rugidos de los monos saraguatos o aulladores y en los paseos en lancha que se internan por la jungla, navegando por los ríos Lacantún y Tzendales, se observan cocodrilos, tucanes, martí pescador, guacamayas, monos araña, monos saraguatos, tejón, armadillo, pájaros de muchos colores y con suerte tapires y hasta jaguares. El Centro Ecoturístico Las Guacamayas fue creado con la finalidad de desarrollar un proyecto de conservación de la guacamaya escarlata (ara macao), aunque otras especies ya mencionadas también encuentran refugio. El PanoramaEn este panorama les muestro la orilla del río Lacantún, poco crecido ya que la temporada de lluvias aún no llegaba. Al otro lado del río los sonidos y la densa vegetación aparentan crear una muralla natural inspirando respeto, asombro y gran admiración por el comienzo de la Selva Lacandona por todo lo que guarda y esconde detrás.¡ Espero les agrade esta vista panorámica !
