Traditionally, locals always bought their fresh local produce and seafood in the French Market. Over the past thirty years, less and less food and more and more 'flea market' vendors have been using the French Market. But, it is still the best place to buy cases of Creole Tomatoes, as well as locally grown vegetables like corn, eggplant, onion, garlic and peppers. The French Market is in the New Orleans Lower French Quarter between Decator and N. Peters.
