A part of the Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial, a free art school and gallery in South Philadelphia, this literal sanctuary was originally the Episcopal Church of the Evangelists and was purchased by Mr. Fleisher in 1922 when the church closed down. The Memorial buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places. I had planned to make a panorama from inside the Sanctuary, but found that the Memorial is under renovation until March 2005.
