I've been involved in pano photography for over 25 years, originally shooting film and manually assembling the prints. My first quality digital camera was the Kodak DC-260 in 1999. I then switched to a Nikon Coolpix 995, and a couple of years later a CoolPix 8500 - plus assorted lenses, tripods and tripod heads. In 2006 I picked up my first DSLR - a Canon 20D. There's no looking back!
My current equipment: A Canon 40D DSLR, Sigma Fisheye, various Canon lenses, assorted tripods, plus a few tripod heads: Manfrotto 303SPH, two different Agnos M-Rotator series, a Manfrotto ball head, and others. A dozen different flash units (remote, studio and on assorted brackets) plus a bunch of misc. clamps, supports, umbrellas, reflectors, brackets - the usual collection!
I also have a couple of different specialty monopods I constructed for ground level (1 inch off the ground - I used this for wwp606: Gardens) and elevated shots (25 feet up.)
I capture panos whenever the mood strikes, often at job sites,on or near Lake Michigan, or events (community and family.) My specialty is creating website content for personal and professional use.
The winter months are my favorite, when I can shoot on the Ski slopes - wide angle (usually 4-12 shots), equirectangular panos, and ski racing photos.
