About the Photographer
In a previous career I made a living as a film-based photo-illustrator...a complex and forgotten art of orchestrated multiple camera exposures, camera masks, projection screens and pin-registered films handled in the darkroom...before Photoshop made it all too easy.
Now I enjoy going back to taking spontaneous photographs. The challenge of doing "good" photo-journalistic spherical panoramas is a real rush. Seasoned photographers are drawn into waiting or creating the right moment to happen. The extra challenge is the other 240 degrees that most other image-makers choose not to include in their field of vision.
I'm passionate about creating a style of spherical panoramas that offers a fresh visual perspective while still telling a story. This is what great photography should be about...a visual narrative intimately crafted by the sensibilities of the photographer-artist.
