About the Photographer
The discovery of Full Screen VRs was a life changing event, it made me look at the world, and photography, in a completely different way. Up to that moment, every scene had been carefully prepared by neatly arranging the people and essential props and excluding everything I did not wish to see by moving it behind or even under the camera; my job was 75% furniture remover and street cleaner and 25% photographer, I worked to make exciting, novel images that would look good as 2 dimensional, flat pictures on the printed page. VR changes it all, we get everything in, everywhere. So now I shift the offensive items out of the building or down the road and round the corner, completely. My job is transformed, 99% furniture mover and street cleaner, 1% photographer. I get a buzz from hearing first-time viewers of Full Screen VRs say “Wow!” when they experience pan up and then down - they genuinely see something they did not expect and are thrilled by it. This is an exciting era for photographers, working with new tools in 3 dimensions to create, entertain and inform. http://www.iankerr.com
