Urs Bleuler cooks for a living, sometimes up to 300 hours a month. If the swiss trained professional chef is not working in his 42 seat diner by the marina, he is on his mountain bike scaling the North Shore.
Urs has been cooking most of his career in exclusive hotels and restaurants as an executive chef and opened his own diner with his wife Tamy, in May, 1999. Since then he has been upgrading the diner's interior and whipping out the two-fisted breakfast and luncheon fare that has made the High Boat Cafe a local waterfront legend over the past decade. Urs also caters to all affairs in any size and even works as a private chef for exclusive venues for his clientele, providing for his sustenance.
The High Boat Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch from 7 am until 3 pm from Monday through Saturday. It is located on the North Shore in North Vancouver on the Mosquito Creek Marina grounds. The patio has a spectacular panoramic view of the marina, the Burrard Inlet and the skyline of Vancouver city.
