Theme

I noticed that the theme transportation contains the word SPORT. So the idea was born to shoot a sport event related to transportation. I went to the Olympiapark in Munich where a 24 hour mountain bike race was running. Therefore I called my panorama 24h tranSPORTation. I think the sport part is clear ;-). The transportation parts are the contestants transporting themselves around the course. For the team drivers the race was more a relay, and therefore they had to carry some sort of baton around the track.

Trivia

For the final panorma I used four pictures at 90°, a zenith shot, two nadir shots and some extra pictures to get some more bikers into the picture.
I made the panorama about one and a half hours before the finish of the race.
Participants were able to start alone, or in teams of two, four or eight drivers.
The winner in the single driver category was Ingo Ebeling with a distance of 514,4 km (335.79 mi) in 76 laps. That's an average speed of 21,43 km/h (13.99 mi/h)! He triumphated over 76 other contestants.
