In a small workshop on the outskirts of Vienna carriages are still built by artisans trained and skilled in their work with wood and iron. The construction of the body reflects bygone times and fashions in its form and finish and is one of our main focus points when building a carriage so that each carriage is created on the drawing board before taking on its definitive shape in the workshop. The outline and shape of the carriage body are carried further by the blacksmith who works in our own forge. The paint is applied by brush alone. All the upholstery, trimming and leatherwork is carried out in the traditional manner. It goes without saying that our carriage restoration work is intrinsically based on our respect for the past.
