Near my house these powerlines carry electricity around the city of Melbourne. The powerlines run at 500kV from one sub station to the next. Unfortunately most of the electricity for Melbourne is generated by coal, although some is generated by hydro, wind and solar.

Also in this pano is my motor vehicle, which uses a lot of fossil fuel.

And last but not least the Sun, a very much underused energy source.
