Frankly, on September 22 I didn't feel like taking photographs... So, I went for a bicycle ride, near my home along the river Ariège. Cintegabelle, my village, has a tormented history going back to the 10th century (960 exactly). This small city's apogee was reached during the Middle Ages thanks to the pastel trade and a very important presence of religion. In 1492 a new bridge was built with a timber structure. In 1632 the Cardinal Richelieu ordered the destruction of the ramparts and wooden bridge, and their replacement by a brick bridge. It was restored in 1893 after the damage undergone during the great flood of 1875 and has not been modified since.
As for me, I followed my bicycle ride ! :^)
