As usual, being the procrastinator I am, I waited till the last minute before going out to do my shoot for this event. Late on the last day of shooting for the event I grabbed the camera gear, ran out the door, and drove up to Capitol Mall to wander around looking for shots. There weren't very many people around, which wasn't too surprising considering it was a 103degF day. By the end of 2 hours all I could think of what getting back to my air-conditioned car and the bottle of water I had left in it. ----- The subject I've chosen for this Gardens event was the garden and water fountain that stands in the middle of the turnabout on Capital Mall between the 'Library & Courts' building(1)(2), visible on the right side of the panorama, and the 'Jesse Unruh Building' formerly know as 'Office Building Number 1', the building in sunlight if you move the view of the panorama to the left. The Garden themes I see in this shot are: Garden of Government - California State Capitol (3) Garden of Knowledge - California State Library (1) Garden of Law - California State Court (2) and last but not least Garden of Life - Flowers! :) ----- (1)Library & Courts Building California State Library Home Page (2)California Supreme Court California Court of Appeal, 3rd Appellate District ----- The park around the California State Capitol had many potential subjects for the event.
