Almost everyday I walk to the office, along the way several people have turned their gardens into fantastic dreams of flowers, colors and shapes. I love passing these, a few people have taken another angle, and instead turned the grass strip between the sidewalk and the road into a flower garden. Some more imaginative than others. This particular strip garden is located at Elmwood Avenue and Ridgewood Place. The owner have gone to great lengths including installing watering and having a gardener visit it every 2 weeks. I don't know what drives people to do something great like this.. But I DO know that I enjoy it every morning and evening, and for this I think its a valuable contribution to urban gardens and the environment we live in every day.

The entry was photographed using my Canon Pro1 with a Nikon FC-E9 lens, mounted in lightweight travel pano head, on a Gitzo tripod. I do not use a indexer but instead uses a extension tube from Manfrotto. Image was stitched in PT-gui, composite in Photoshop and QTVR created with PanoCube.
