Baldwin reservoir supplies the drinking water for the east side of the Isle of Man. Although quite full for this time of year there remains a hose pipe ban due to the inability to currently filter higher quantities of drinking/tap water. In previous years the reservoir has run low during the Summer and an old stone cottage can be seen sitting at the bottom.
