At the technical service of the Berliner Feuerwehr (fire-brigade) in Berlin Siemensstadt we photographed a compressed air filling plant.

Here compressed air tanks are filled for respirators and diving equipment. During the filling process the bottles must be cooled in a water tray, because during the filling process a significant increase in temperature takes place.

There is a filling plant with 300 bar for 6 and 6,8 litre bottles and another with 200 bar for 4 litre bottles. Both filling plants can fill 6 bottles at the same time. Besides that, bottles with helium for a captive balloon as well as medical oxygen are stored in the shown room.
