This was a fun project for a NASCAR craftsman race team’s major sponsor Zaxby Restaurants. The shot of the truck was done at Wood Brothers racing in Harrisburg NC. We set aside a clean corner of their shop that they had used as a photo studio and captured the parts to create the truck section of Stacy Compton's #9 race truck. After the shot, they said that they were fine with the window being “blown out” but that was not ok with me. I spoke with them and convinced them to call the Charlotte Speedway where the week before they had run the Charlotte 500. I got approval to get into the track and drove over a corner where I thought I could capture an image to add into the window areas to make it look like the truck was on the track. Once delivered to the client, they loved the results and were overjoyed that I made the effort to add in the window image area, which I think made the photo.
