Tianhuangping pumed storage plant is located in Anji County,Zhejiang Province.It is near the load center of East China Power Grid with a favorable position and easy accessibility,approximately 175km away from Shanghai,180km from Nanjing,57km from Hangzhou,and 34km from Pingyao 500kv substation.
After the investigation at Anji county, International Astronomy Union announced officially: the best observation point for the longest annular total eclipse of July 22, 2009, is the reservoir which located at a power station in Anji county, Huzhou city, Zhejiang province, China.
