This fall, I was fortunate to be able to drive Old U.S. Route 66 from Chicago, Illinois to Flagstaff, Arizona in my 1966 Ford Mustang. I used the opportunity to take 175 panoramas at many of the popular (and some little-known) historical stops along the way. This is my favorite (probably because it involved food).

Wrink's Market was reopened this year after being refurbished by Terry Wrinkle, the grandson of G.E. Wrinkle, the original owner. It has been a fixture on Old Route 66 in Lebanon, Missouri since 1949. It sports a deli, groceries, lots of memorabilia from the history of the store, and a big selection of Route 66 souvenirs. The best part is that you are made to feel at home with a healthy helping of friendly conversation. Truly, one of the last community general stores left (anyone remember Sam Drucker?)
