BIG FLOOD.

Lucerne, August 2005. The big flood. The City of Lucerne was a "little Venedig": The famous Chapel Bridge was closed - because the Lake of Lucerne and the river Reuss were too high after days of raining. The flood was a big attraction for the tourists. Not only ;-)

Luzern, August 2005. Hochwasser in Luzern. Weite Teile der Touristenstadt waren nach tagelangen Regenfällen überschwemmt. Der Vierwaldstättersee und die Reuss schwappten über die Ufer: Die berühmte Kapellbrücke war aus Sicherheitsgründen für alle Personen gesperrt. Luzern als "kleines Venedig" entwickelte sich zur Touristenattraktion und zum beliebten Fotosujet - vor allem nachdem sich die Sonne und der blaue Himmel wieder zurückgemeldetet hatten.
