This was an interesting shot of my home town Bruges at night - this entrance to the 'Beguinage' being a tourist 'hotspot'.

However, the panorama is not showing any sign of one of the the main features of the city, the very elegant and beautiful white swans that adorn nearly every picture postcard! At the time of shooting (Nov. 2005), the city council had taken precautionary measures to face off the bird flu scare and had placed all these poor chaps (and girls...) in quarantine!
