The abbey at Mont Saint Michel has been in the making for over a thousand years. I had only a few minutes with family waiting hundreds of steps below me to take my first panorama with a new tripod head and a new camera. It was my best of 2005 as it was the first of 2005. This is the second most visited place in France, near the boundary of Brittany and Normandy, it takes some effort to see logistically. We were quite fortunate to have most of the abbey to ourselves. Most of the rooms were silent except for our footsteps. November is a wonderful time of year to visit. I'll be back, and perhaps then I can wander alone.
