Christmas Day 2005 in Hawaii brought very good weather on the Windward side of Oahu. Quite often the holiday season is very rainy.
William and Raelene Guzman, who live down the coast from Kanenelu Beach, took advantage of the weather to keep up their tradition of fishing on Christmas Day at this same spot. Kaaawa Valley, just across Kamehameha Highway, has been used in many films and television shows including Jurassic Park, Windtalkers, Godzilla, Lost, Fantasy Island, and Byrds of Paradise.
