The Marin Headlands is a very popular spot to view 4th of July festivities in San Francisco so I arrived early to assure a spot to park. I quickly realized I was too close to the bridge for the image I wanted so walked about a mile up the hill where I setup and made some test shots. I'd had some success with shooting handheld panoramas with my 70-200mm lens earlier in the year in New York and Las Vegas, hand assembling them in Adobe Photoshop, so I knew I could do the same with the six images shot here (25 seconds each at F/7.1) using a tripod. You can see more Golden Gate Bridge pictures, including one shot the same evening with fireworks beyond the bridge, on my site.
