This panorama was shot in Chimney Rock Park, North Carolina, from the top of a formation named The Pulpit.
An excellent view of the eponymous feature of the park is available from this location, as well as a panoramic view of Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure (where the movie Dirty Dancing was filmed.) Chimney Rock Park has also served as a location for films such as The Last of the Mohicans, Fire Starter and A Breed Apart.
