Noordpolderzijl is the smallest tidal harbour in the Netherlands. At low tide the harbour almost falls dry. From this point mudwalkers take off for their hike across the mud. You can take a walk over the mud from the mainland Noordpolderzijl and cross the Waddensea to the Dutch island Rottumeroog. Such a tour will take about 8 hours and you definitely need a good guide.
