The United Nations Conference on Climate Change for 2005 took place in Montreal from November 28th to December 09th. The One Ton Challenge was a display which was part of the Canadian Pavillion at the conference. A ball with a diameter of 10 meters was hung from the ceiling to represent the volume of one ton of greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs). Canadians on average create five tons of GHGs every year and the challenge for every Canadian was to reduce that output by one ton. I was employed by Environment Canada for this conference and shot this display as a pano.
