Downtown Seattle lost much of its artist's studio space/housing in the 90's due to development and high rents. The artist-centric project Toshiro-Kaplan Building opened in 2004 to provide 50 affordable housing and studio spaces to local artists. One of these artists is long time Seattle resident Roger Wheeler. This image is a view of his current live-in studio in the new Toshiro-Kaplan Building. Roger Wheeler is most known for the masks that he creates which can be seen on the walls of this VR image. To find out more about Roger Wheeler, visit his website at MaskMadness.com.
