The winter solstice was a very clear day in San Buenaventura California. Visible across the water in this panorama taken from the pier are the Santa Cruz and Anacapa Islands. The city is sandwiched between the beach and the hills. On one of the hills you can see the landmark two eucalyptus trees. To the right of the city in the distance is Conejo Mountain.

The pier is part of Promenade Park, which is a very nice place to go for a walk along the beach. Kite surfers are a common sight in the water. Sometimes sea lions and turtles wander on to the beach. Usually the seagulls are flying around you, trying to get you to feed them.

This panorama is part of a tour of Ventura that I am putting together. You can see the other nodes in the tour at by viewing this panorama at my site.
