The Gold Coast Seaway at the Summer Solstice (Southern Hemisphere) was a very windy an overcast place as you can see. The rock wall I'm standing on forms the basis of a stable entrance to the Broadwater, a huge protected body of water leading to a great variety of canals and rivers. From here you can also see the Sand Bypass system (large pier), which moves sand off the Gold Coast beaches on it's ever northward march to Stradbroke Island and beyond.
