Cemetery
Chinese Permanent Cemetery, Aberdeen, Hong Kong Island
The Chinese Permanent Cemetery overlooks the harbour at Aberdeen. (The stacks from the power-generating plant on Ap Lei Chau are in the background.) Land space is so limited that this is an unusual occurrence today in Hong Kong. Currently the government encourages cremation, although interments are still permitted. Bodies that are buried are subject to exhumation after 6 years when cremation is often performed. This will not be the case in this cemetery since it is a "permanent" cemetery.
