The Courtyard at Northgate Hall
University of California, Berkeley

This delightful courtyard is surrounded by venerable North Gate Hall, designed by Bernard Maybeck. Once home to the school of architecture (and known as the Ark), it is an intimate, warm design that has been widely admired, but has unfortunately seldom been emulated on the Berkeley campus.

This panorama was created as a training exercise, and includes Geography Computing Facility interns (standing, left to right) Jennie Freeman, Jake Schweitzer, John Rigdon, and (seated) Tenara Blood.
Also Facility Director Don Bain (on bench). September 25, 1995.
