This close-up shows a diversity of wildflower species. The white flower is desert chicory (Rafinesquia neomexicana). The large yellow flower is desert poppy (Eschscholzia glyptosperma). The basal leaves and stems of desert-trumpet eriogonum (Eriogonum inflatum) are to the left of the rock in the center of the image
