Burned Homes #3

September 1977

Unlike chaparral species, human property is not well adapted to fire: homes do not sprout after burning. This image reveals the catastrophic destruction to homes and property possible from wildfires. This home is in the "Riviera" area of Santa Barbara and was burned during the Sycamore Canyon fire of July 1977.
