Glacier National Park lies in Waterton Valley, a part of both Alberta, Canada and Montana. Both parts of the valley exist today in their natural splendor because of the scouring action of glaciers.
This panorama shows a great view of some of these glacial features. Some of the features that are captured here are hanging valleys, cirques, aretes, and horns. The entire valley has an apparent U shape which is distinctive of its glacial past. The waterfalls and green, crisp alpine meadows really contribute to the beauty associated with Glacier National Park.
