Scenes in Japan
Robert Apte's Eye Vue the World

Several visits were made to Japan between 1971 and 2001.   Most of the time was spent in the area of Kyoto.   It is obvious from the inclusions here that the Japanese architecture and gardens were the most wonderful to photograph.  The time of year I found the winter quite dramatic, when the snow covered the garden, fonts and temples.  Small fountains were to be found everywhere and I enjoyed noticing the differences and recording them.  This is a small section of  many many hundreds of images taken in Japan.  While a bustling country it was easy to find ones private space to contemplate and meditate.
